About the Event
Dave Hause & The Mermaid is a live band around Dave Hause, which gives his solo work the energy of a full-fledged rock concert.
The sound is somewhere between heartland rock and punk ferocity, with echoes of The Gaslight Anthem, The Replacements or Bruce Springsteen, but still retains its own signature.
They are currently relying on the album Drive It Like It’s Stolen, which is more straightforward, sometimes raw and at the same time surprisingly melodic. The lyrics deal with everyday reality – relationships, burnout and small flashes of hope – without pathos, but rather with civil sincerity.
However, the strongest side of Dave Hause & The Mermaid are their concerts: brilliantly played with maximum commitment, full of pure emotions.
