About the Event
The islands in the Czech Republic could be counted on one hand. However, there is one in Holýšov that is something exceptional. Every year the unforgettable rock open-air festival Pekelný ostrov takes place on this island. The festival saw the light of day already in 2012, on a green meadow lined with the river Radbusa. The festival is getting more and more popular every year, with visitors coming to us from all corners of the Czech Republic and in recent years also from the German border region.

The festival takes place on the natural island U mlýna near the town of Holýšov. There is a paved road leading to the island, 600 m away from the main road No. 26 in the direction of Pilsen. If you are coming from Plzeň, drive all the way through Holýšov and turn left after the village at the crossroads by the cemetery. If you arrive in Holýšov by bus or train, follow the main road towards Domažlice.
